Ludmila Shleg, born in 1948, Belarus, graduated from the Belarusian State Conservatoire (Prof. D.B.Smolsky’s class of composition, 1972), postgraduate courses at the Leningrad State Conservatoire (Prof. S.M.Slanimsky’s class of composition, 1980).

Member of the Composers’ Union of Belarus, 1974.

Principal compositions: a radio-opera, a folk-opera, an oratorio «Glorification», a requiem «Do remember!», oratorios «The Tale about Igar», «Iconostasis», cantatas «Sward-grass», «Pipers», the vocal-symphonic performance «Call for Spring», vocal-orchestra compositions, poems for voice and folk orchestra, a chamber-cantata «Heritage of Past Time», «In Memoriam» for chorus, solo and organ, symphonic pictures «Nesterka», a poem «Symon-musician», a piano concert, a concert «The. Day of St.Yury», an orchestra fresko, pieces for chamber orchestra, chamber music, chorus cycles, a chorus poem, choruses, vocal cycles, romances, an arrangement of folk songs for chorus, ensembles, voice and piano.
